About the Project

What You'll Be Doing

Help children in Lombok access quality English education and native speakers

Why Teaching English Matters

The demand for fluent English speakers in Indonesia is at an all-time high. Although children may learn English in school, they often do so with local Indonesian teachers, which limits their opportunities for conversational practice and exposure to native English pronunciation and natural speech patterns.

As a volunteer, you will create lesson plans based on a general syllabus to teach children in Lombok. The aim is to foster a supportive and enjoyable environment that encourages students to experience the joy of learning English. You will achieve this through interactive lessons, games, songs, arts, sports, and music.

Your Schedule: Spend mornings preparing lesson plans, followed by afternoon teaching sessions at the school from 2 PM to 5 PM. Volunteers who want extra hours can also teach at a local kindergarten in the morning.
