Do I need previous volunteer experience?
No! We welcome first-time volunteers. What matters most is your openness to learn, cultural sensitivity, and genuine desire to connect with the community.
What's the minimum age requirement?
Solo volunteers must be 18+. Families with children are welcome (no minimum age for accompanied minors).
What's included in the program fee?
Homestay accommodation, 3 daily meals (weekday), 2 daily meals (weekend), airport pickup, comprehensive orientation, 24/7 support, weekend excursions, and all program materials.
Can I choose my host family?
We carefully match volunteers with families based on preferences and dietary needs. While you can’t choose a specific family, we ensure compatible placements.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and most dietary restrictions. Inform us during application for proper family matching.
Is it safe for solo travelers?
Yes. Lombok is generally safe, host families are carefully vetted, and we provide 24/7 emergency support. Many solo travelers feel very safe here.
